CABARET IS ALIVE & WELL AND LIVING IN LOS ANGELES!
This weekend, LA-area members and guests enjoyed the third annual Cabaret is Alive & Well and Living in Los Angeles, a 3-night, 2-venue celebration of cabaret, benefitting The Fund. Conceived and directed by David Galligan and presented by Fraser Entertainment Group, this special event series took place at Gardenia Supper Club on Friday and Saturday, and Catalina Jazz Club on Sunday. Together at Last for the Third Time, two evenings of song at Gardenia, starred accomplished women of Cabaret, including the inimitable Jane A. Johnston, Actors Fund Western Council Vice Chair Ilene Graff and Carole Cook. At Catalina for Right This Way, Your Table’s Waiting, the wonderful Fran Drescher (The Nanny) entertained and introduced hosts, Peter Marc Jacobson and Bruce Vilanch, who kept the line-up moving from Karen Benjamin & Dianne Fraser’s opening duet to a genius “One Day More” by TV and Broadway star Barrett Foa, bringing the full audience to a standing ovation to close the spectacular show and successful event series. A profound thank you to David Galligan, Dianne Fraser and the incredible hosts and performers for their generosity of time and spectacular talent – bravo to all!
